This word Epic is a word I would like to use to describe our life.

Though we have not reached this title we are definitely living an extraordinary life.

Our family did not start with the means to do any of the things that we are doing right now.  We did however have the drive to make these things happen.  We had the burning desire for something different and convinced ourselves that we deserved it.

We didn’t ask for permission from our elders nor did we seek approval from our peers – we simply did what we wanted to.   If we had we know everyone have told us:-No you can’t do that! or What about this, or what about that!.  All of which is irrelevant if you truly desire to follow your dreams.  You would be so surprised how things would just fall into place for you if you just did it!

Our Girls started school 3 days ago;  They are in an amazing Greek school; all the teachers know great English and other languages. It contradicts our homeschool ideas but we wan’t our children to learn Greek fast; and the Greek schools are not as bad as American schools.    We still have lessons at home after they get back and we give them Homeschool-work to take to school.  We have them taking notes on the different types of people and the ways they get along with each other, and how it’s different from America.

We are definitely living outside of our comfort zone – Our girls do miss Utah and they miss everyone there, but that’s the whole point.  If you wan’t to grow- you need to live outside of your comfort.  Humans are amazing at adapting and our instincts want to adapt to new changing situations, but we suppress this instinct and we wonder why everyone grows up depressed lacking any stability in emotions even with the force feeding of this supposed only way of life.

It’s amazing whats happening to our mentality – we thought we would go back to Utah after a year or two but I really think that our family have stumbled on a new way of life – a way of life that we love;  an Epic life.
